Victory Over Japan day History

At midnight, the British Prime Minister Clement Atlee approved the news in a broadcast saying, “The last of our enemies is laid low (Japan)."

Victory over Japan would come at a heavy price, An estimated around 71,000 soldiers from Britain and the Commonwealth and allied countries died in the war against Japan, including more than 12,000 prisoners of war who died in Japanese custody. Japan treated prisoners of war very brutally which is against humanity, including American and British soldiers who had surrendered to them.

VICTORY OVER JAPAN DAY

The Allied power had delivered Japan a demand to immediate surrender on 28th July 1945. But this was ignored and after than more aggressive behaviour shown by Japan caused the disaster. the US dropped two atomic bombs on Hiroshima on 6th August and Nagasaki on 9th August, the day that Soviet forces invaded Manchuria. Approximately 214,000 people were killed in the explosions and Japan was forced to admit defeat and then surrendered.

VICTORY OVER JAPAN DAY

The British Prime Minister expressed gratitude to Britain’s allies, in Australia and New Zealand, India, Burma, all countries occupation of japan and to the USSR. But special thanks went to the United States without whose immense efforts the war in the East and in the Pacific ocean would still have many years to run.

The War gives lots of causalities especially human causality, your loved one's causality. the war gives no rightful justice to anyone. continuing war is not bravery, it is full of idiotic to continuing this disaster. the great example we saw in the form of ww1 and ww2, so remembering these devastating war gives a lesson for do not repeat this type of disaster. The Victory over japan day's intention was the same when it was formed.
